3. Christmas Fair

  • Christmas Fair date agreed with school as Friday 29th November 2019 after school

  • Silent auction/raffle prize donation letters to be handed around town handed out at meeting. More letters to be made available in the school office

    • Suggested businesses to approach = #97, Park Brewery, Squires, The Antelope, Maple Road businesses, riverside restaurants

    • As fair is after school, recommended that we allow sealed bids in advance to be dropped into PCSA mail box. These could work in way of eBay (i.e. start at a lower, minimum bid to allow sealed-bidders a fairer chance of winning)

  • Louisa has contacted Hawes Estate Agents re: estate agent boards. No response so need to be chased

  • Food - suggestions received were Turkey & Stuffing rolls, Pizzas (were successful last year), or we could order Vegan sausage rolls from Greggs for collection on afternoon of school fair?

    • Comments received last year were that it was good to have simple and cheap food for kids. Items easy to eat (not like jacket potatoes a couple of years ago,  which were not successful).

    • Mufti days agreed with school for the Fridays before fair,

      • Funky Feet (Socks / tights / shoes) to collect chocolates - Summer fair approach of collecting money instead worked well but less issue of storing chocolate in cooler winter months and as less time to prepare for fair, collecting chocs will save the PCSA the job of doing the chocolate shop as well)

      • Crazy hair - Unwanted gifts

      • Full Mufti on day of fair - bottles

      • Other options for mufti to be considered in future - half & half uniform / mufti day?

Actions:

  • Raffle/silent auction prize letters to be printed and left in school office – Louisa

  • Estate agent board sponsor required – Louisa

4. AOB

Fundraising thermometer to be updated using data Debbie has provided

Action:

Thermometer to be updated. Lousia to contact school about whether to involve kids in this – Louisa
